Marcos Lima - The Southern California based Brazilian-American artist started out as a fashion illustrator, traveling the world to sketch the latest fashions for a Brazilian clothing manufacturer. In the Miami Beach modeling scene of the 90s his faux pearl encrusted bustiers and beaded dresses were a hot commodity for fashion photo shoots and music videos. He then transitioned to faux finish work where he pioneered some of his unique painting and artwork creation techniques. In more recent years his eye for vintage modern antiques helped launch yet another very successful career as an antique dealer. Marcos is a prolific and highly diverse artist, whose media include painting, drawing, sculpture, and Pop-Art assemblages utilizing repurposed vintage items that defy classification. Both his artwork and vintage modern finds have found an enthusiastic following among celebrities, designers and art collectors, and are well represented in homes and private collections throughout Florida, New York, France, Colorado, Virginia, North Carolina and California.
